Sara was born and raised in Georgia where she first picked up her racquet at the age of 8. Sara went on to play four years of collegiate tennis at the University of West Georgia (D2). While at West Georgia, Sara and her doubles partner broke the all-time wins record. At 30 years old, Sara already has over a decade of teaching experience in a variety of settings. She is also PTR certified (10 & Under). Sara has been the tennis director at Terrace Park Swim and Tennis Club (1 year) and then Mt Lookout Swim and Tennis Club (3 years). Additionally, her collegiate summers were spent teaching in Maine in the roles of camp counselor, tennis instructor, and eventually assistant tennis director at two 7-week sleep away camps, Camp Kippewa and Camp Cobbossee. Being a camp counselor and working on campus taught her invaluable interpersonal skills and how to build a community. She hopes to use those skills at HPTC to connect members and bring new events/socials to the club. Sara moved to the Cincinnati area October 2020 and began working at Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club for the winter season. During the summer of 2021, she rekindled a junior program at Cincinnati Tennis Club that had been absent for over five years. Sara hopes to continue this momentum at Hyde Park this upcoming season with the introduction of a junior tennis team and multiple junior clinics added to the schedule.
